OTPF
The OTPF stands for Occupational Therapy Practice Framework. It is the official document of the AOTA and has various constructs that explain the practice of occupational therapy. It is important for students and practitioners to learn and follow because it guides and lays out an approach for individuals to increase their quality of life and participate in their many life roles. Practitioners use the OTPF as a way to guide their assessments and interventions with the client. After finding out what is meaningful to the client and the occupations they take part in the practitioner is better able to guide the client back to where they want to be performing their daily activities.
